Myriam Bussiere, born on August 3, 1985, in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, found her passion for painting at a young age under the guidance of her grandmother. In 2018, her journey took a significant turn when she crossed paths with Mélanie Poirier, an artist and gallerist at Galerie mp tresart in Durham-Sud, Quebec. Under Poirier’s mentorship, Bussiere delved into various painting techniques, shaping her unique style.

In 2020, Bussiere made her monumental mural, “TRUE LOVE,” crafted from 157 gallons of recycled paint, adorning the walls of Galerie mp tresart. This vibrant artwork stands as a testament to her dedication and ingenuity. Inspired by renowned artists like Mr. Brainwash, Banksy, and her mentor Mélanie Poirier, Bussiere infuses her works with originality, humor, and thoughtfulness.

One of her projects emerged in April 2020, coinciding with World Book Day. Collaborating with Mélanie Poirier, Bussiere embarked on a journey that seamlessly melded literature and art. Together, they conceived “HISTORY WITHOUT END,” a captivating mural measuring 5 x 6 feet, adorned with around sixty used books sourced from various corners of imagination. Each book, weathered by time and enriched with stories untold, became a canvas for their creative expression.

As Bussiere and Poirier delicately wove their brushes across the pages, they breathed new life into the worn volumes, infusing them with vibrant colors and intricate designs. The mural became a tapestry of narratives, where history intertwined with fantasy, and reality danced with imagination. Through this innovative fusion, Bussiere showcased not only her technical prowess but also her deep appreciation for the written word.

“HISTORY WITHOUT END” stands as a testament to Bussiere’s ability to transcend traditional boundaries, transforming everyday objects into portals of wonder. In this mural, the past converges with the present, and the stories within the books extend beyond their pages, inviting viewers to embark on their own journey of discovery. Her pieces, crafted from recycled materials like wood, metal, plastic, and cardboard, resonate with viewers, inviting them to explore the depths of her imagination.
